Things to do in the area

The Uckermark is a beautiful region of Eastern Germany with great cycle paths, forests, lakes and a wide variety of wildlife.

Boitzenburg Palace

The beautiful neo-Baroque palace of Boitzenburg is just up the road. It sits on the lakeside and is a popular place for weddings but you can take a kayak or just explore.

Rowing and Kayaking

Galina has a rowing boat at the bottom of the garden if you feel like getting some exercise or just floating around. She can also organise kayak trips on some of the nearby lakes.

Birdwatching

The Uckermark is famous for its birdlife. There are many species here that are rare in Britain and it's always rewarding to grab a pair of binoculars. Galina will even share her birding spots with you if you ask her nicely.; )
